Margaret Elizabeth Manuel 82 of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, January 14, 2005 in the Trinity West ER. She was born in Steubenville on July 24, 1922 the daughter of the late Julius and Ida Gimpel Shumaker, Sr. Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Preceding her in death was one daughter Patricia Ann Rauch. A devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Margaret is survived by her husband Peter Manuel, whom she married on February 23, 1943; son Stephen (Beth) Manuel of Wintersville; daughters Barbara (John) Devore of Moon Township, PA and Donna (Ralph) Zende of Steubenville; six grandchildren; two great grandsons and brother Julius Shumaker, Jr. of Wintersville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Dean Dimon officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Trisagion 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
