Margaret “Annie” Annette Wright, 83, of Steubenville passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Steubenville on March 10, 1936 the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Cook Galbraith of East Springfield, OH. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Frank Malcolm Galbraith and Harold Archie Galbraith. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 40 years Earl L. Wright; sister-in-law Beverly Galbraith of Richmond, OH; nephews Robert (Kim) Galbraith of Carrollton, OH and David (Lisa) Galbraith of Louisville, OH; nieces Annette (James) Pulice of Richmond, OH and Susan (Lewis) Ericksen of South Carolina; 7 great nephews, 1 great niece, 3 great great nephews and 1 great great niece. All of whom she loved dearly. She graduated from the Ohio Valley School of Nursing in September 1957, where she worked in the delivery room before going to work for Dr. John W. Metcalf in 1962. Over the next 38 years she played a role in the births of thousands of newborns coming into the world. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her more memorable trips included Scotland, Alaska and Switzerland. She was a lifelong and active member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Steubenville, where she was a deacon. She will be greatly missed by her church family. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, 11a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1443 Belleview Blvd., Steubenville, OH with Rev. Ron Pritts officiating. Entombment at Union Cemetery.

Annie, A one of a kind grand lady who we have known for so many years, she was always such a delight to talk to and always remember the past, she took care of having our babies and everybody else in town , always talked about her flower orders and always every Easter make her traditional cross she so looked forward placing it in the church .We will truly miss her, but know she is with our Lord and on streets of gold...Rest in peace our friend...

My heart aches with Annie's death. What a wonderful person she was and I am so blessed to have gotten to know her and Earl. We had bible study at the house with them and it was a fond memory I will cherish. Rest in peace Annie I will miss you . My deepest sympathy to Earl and family and friends.
