Mabel M. Hritz, 88, of Wintersville, OH passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Columbus, OH. She was born in Steubenville on September 24, 1927 a daughter of the late Mahlon and Hilda Simmons Newburn. Mabel was a member of Wintersville United Methodist Church, “Lunch Bunch”, a former Den Mother and volunteered at Prime Time. She was a former Ohio Bell Operator and had attended nursing school. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Hritz; infant daughter Robin Rae Hritz; brother George “Bus” Newburn and sisters Naomi “Sis” Constantini and Thelma Bosnjak. Mabel is survived by her children John A. (Claire) Hritz of Columbus, OH, Paul (Susan) Hritz of Seven Fields, PA and Tamara Hritz Dye of Westerville, OH; grandchildren John Paul Hritz, Dawn (Chris) Marshall, Tiffany (Nick) Koehler, Erica (Devin) Braun, Natalie and Julianna Hritz; great grandchildren Jeremiah and Isaac Marshall and Andrew Koehler. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 2-4p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to: Wintersville United Methodist Church, 702 Main Street, Wintersville, OH 43953.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I have a lot of great memories of both your parents and growing up on Woodvue Lane. I remember your mom taking us probably weekly to the library after my father passed and my mother did not have a drivers license at that time. Keeping all of you in our prayers.
