Obituary For M. Rita Weatherhead

M. Rita Weatherhead, 86, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sienna Woods. She was born April 25, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Edmund & Nellie Norris McMenamin. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and had worked in the receiving department at the former Hills Department Store. Rita was a 1949 graduate of CCHS and an avid Bingo player. Preceding Rita in death were her husband Daniel D. Weatherhead on January 16, 2001; son David Weatherhead; and two brothers Edward & James McMenamin.

Rita is survived by her daughter Lisa (Kenneth) McClain and sister Zella (late Eugene) Silvski all of Wintersville; and step granddaughter Alissa McClain.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday noon – 2 p.m. & 5-7 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Michael Gossett officiating.

Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
