Obituary For Louise Stirpe

Louise Stirpe, 89 of Washington, PA died Sunday, July 17, 2005 in the Washington Hospital ER. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on April 18, 1916 a daughter of the late George and Mildred Lecko Shorac. Louise and her late husband, Remo, were the proprietors of the former Mill Gate Café in Steubenville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Preceding Louise in death were her husband, Remo Stirpe on January 1, 1968; one son Remo Jr.; one brother Samuel Shorac, Sr. and one sister Dorothy Perruzza. Louise is survived by her daughter Mary Louise “Blondie” Sabol with whom she resided; two sons George (Anna) Stirpe of Galloway, Ohio and Ronald (late Shirley) Stirpe of Tampa, Florida; ten grandchildren Cindy Smith, Kathy and Michelle Sabol, George, Remo and Renee Stirpe, Virginia Beardsley, Renee Rodriguez, Laura McCoole and Lisa Stirpe; and eight great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday 3-7 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301
