Louise Stirpe, 89 of Washington, PA died Sunday, July 17, 2005 in the Washington Hospital ER. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on April 18, 1916 a daughter of the late George and Mildred Lecko Shorac. Louise and her late husband, Remo, were the proprietors of the former Mill Gate Café in Steubenville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Preceding Louise in death were her husband, Remo Stirpe on January 1, 1968; one son Remo Jr.; one brother Samuel Shorac, Sr. and one sister Dorothy Perruzza. Louise is survived by her daughter Mary Louise “Blondie” Sabol with whom she resided; two sons George (Anna) Stirpe of Galloway, Ohio and Ronald (late Shirley) Stirpe of Tampa, Florida; ten grandchildren Cindy Smith, Kathy and Michelle Sabol, George, Remo and Renee Stirpe, Virginia Beardsley, Renee Rodriguez, Laura McCoole and Lisa Stirpe; and eight great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday 3-7 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Msgr. Gerald E.
