My Grampa will be missd! He was always up to something, either learning something new, or about something old. He was always keeping busy with his stain glass projects, or building something with left over wood. He was a person who loved his wife, kids, and grandkids. He has taught us all good life lessons, how to tell a story, and how to get the most out of life. May we all be better people due to knowing Pap-Pap!!

I was sorry to hear about your father passing away. It is a difficult thing to bear. He was a wonderful mentor and a deeply devoted father and grandfather. The world is a little less with his passing. My thoughts are with you, Muriel, Colin and Kim.

Luke's mind remained active and he spent many hours on the computer and reading. He was proud he was a WWII Veteran having served in the Navy. His lifetime career was as a welder and welding boss for Wheeling Steel was a part of his life he often talked about. In retirement he taught electrical circuits, welding and blueprint reading at Jefferson Technical School. Michael and his dad were very close and talked by phone on a regular basis discussing the latest books they were reading and all manner of interesting things. He lived long enough to show us how to grow old and stay young at the same time. His family will miss him greatly. His son Michael, I (Muriel) and our children Colin and Kim applaud the life of Louis Fahrion and say "job well done" to a hard working man with a vast understanding of many things, a good and loving father, husband and Pap-pap. Who he was will stay with us all our days.
