Louis A. “Lou” Zangrando, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Valley Hospice North. He was born in Steubenville on July 11, 1926 the son of the late Cesare I. And Lucy Piverotto Zangrando. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Sue Martin Zangrando and step-son Charles Gill. Lou was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Steubenville and a retired conductor from Conrail Railroad with 55 years of service. He served in the US Army during WWII and held membership with Wintersville American Legion Post 557 and the United Transportation Union. He is survived by son Louis A. Zangrando and daughter Lucy Baughman both of Wintersville; step-daughter Deborah Lynn (Mike) Dalbenzio of Toronto, OH; step-son David (Janet) Gill of Richmond, OH; eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. Rev. Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorials may be directed to Valley Hospice.
