Lois J. Bloomfield, 93, of Steubenville passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her home. She was born in Pennsylvania on July 15, 1924 a daughter of the late Joseph and Minerva Warwick Dunn, Sr. Lois had worked at Weirton Steel as a tin flipper until she married the love of her life in 1946. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband James “Joe” J. Sr. on December 31, 2001; son Jimmy Bloomfield; sisters Leanore and Ruth; brothers Joe, Bobby and Alfred. Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory; sister Martha Swickard of Steubenville; son Gary (Paula) Bloomfield of California; daughters Karen Jacob of Richmond, OH, Lisa (Jesse) Woodland of Steubenville and Delania (Jim) McKinney of Steubenville whom lived with her and were her caregivers for the past 16 years. She had 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren arriving in May. Lois also leaves behind her 2 precious fur babies Laci and Jasmine. Lois will be missed dearly by her family, she was special to all who knew her. Her family has many memories they will cherish forever. The family has requested private services and burial.
