I meant to visit Mrs. Goldberg today. However, time became a problem and I was unable to give my condolences personally. Mrs. Goldberg was hired before my term as principal of Steubenville High School. I was a history teacher and she helped me become a better history teacher. I was made principal at the high school moved from 1973 to 1986. She served as my librarian during the 13 yeats that I was in that position. It was apparent from the beginning of the relationship we developed that she was a great person to have as our librarian. She helped me as a teacher and later as the principal. I left there to become an assistant to the superintendent in Steubenville. I would visit her when I was in the building. She was always a positive person and a great librarian. She was missed when she left her position and is remembered by me and other teachers. She was a great librarian. She kept her promise to her students in that she provided each of them with a library that was unforgetable. Jene Watkins Superintendent Indian Creek Local Schools Wintersville, Ohio

Andrea, I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the pain of losing a mother. There was always comfort in my heart just knowing my mom was in this world for me. Now I find comfort knowing she is in heaven watching over me. I hope you can find the same comfort in your heart and know you will meet again one day. God Bless you and your family at this difficult time.

Mrs. Goldberg was the librarian at Steubenville High School when I was a student there. She was always a joy to be around, and was extremely helpful to all of her students. I can still picture her working there with a smile on her face. It was evident that she loved what she did. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. She was a wonderful woman.

Hank and Andrea - I am sorry to hear of the death of your Mom. She and I were great friends when I lived in Steubenville -- we were both hired to work in the Steubenville Schools the same year and spent great times together discussing things in the library world. Wish I could have attended her services. Priscilla Mohr Cleveland, Ohio

Lois will be missed. I loved her sence of humor, and the tolerance she showed for those of us in the family who often were off color or took things too far.

So sorry for your loss. I will always have fond memories of your mom when growing up. She was always kind to me and didn't mind having a third person for meals. I always thought how nice to have dessert for dinner. She was a mom of the upmost class. Love, Vicki
