Lloyd C. “Bud” Wilson, 86, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Trinity West. He was born December 28, 1926 in Wintersville, Ohio, a son of the late Clyde E. and Mary C. McCoy Wilson. Bud retired as the body shop manager of Brandt Motor Co. in 1988. He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, Pilgrim Lodge 691, Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite AASR; Aladdin Temple of the Shrine in Columbus, longtime member of Steel Valley Antique Car Club and a lifetime member of the Ohio Valley Coin Association. Bud also served his country honorably as a PFC in the U.S. Army from February 19, 1945 to December 11, 1946. Preceding Bud in death were six sisters Pearl Ashton, Audrey Wilson, Edith Mauer, Pauline England, Helen Donaldson and Marge Washel. Surviving are his wife for 65 years, Dessie Rodosovich Wilson, whom he married on August 24, 1947; two sons Warren (Barbara) Wilson of Toronto, OH and John (Susan Waychoff) Wilson of Bratenahl, OH; two grandsons Kyle Wilson and Nicholas Waychoff both of Cleveland, OH; two granddaughters Cortney (Helker) Silva of Blacklick, OH, and Alyson Colledge of Wellsville, OH; and two great granddaughters Aryn Colledge-Ice of Wellsville, OH, and Camila Silva of Blacklick, OH. Bud was known to all as a kind, caring and fun-loving man, honest and hard-working, whose character and sense of fairness were seldom, if ever, questioned. Throughout his life, he gave of himself generously to church, community, family and friends, with memberships and volunteer activities too numerous to list. Both an artist and a highly skilled craftsman, Bud devoted much of his spare time until age 80 to his passion of restoring antique automobiles. His work earned him both local and national recognition, as well as the friendship and respect of many antique vehicle afficionados. Above all else, Bud strived to live a life that honored his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whose arms he is now joyfully embraced. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Saturday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. where a service will be held Sunday 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Masonic service Saturday 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Colonial Baptist Church.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr Wilson's passing. My father (Bill Cain) worked with him in Steubenville. My mom and dad spoke so highly of him, and my dad gave him credit for everything he learned about auto body work. I was very young at the time, but will always remember how nice he was to my brother and I when my mom would stop by the shop. He was one of those people that you remember having the pleasure of meeting no matter how long ago it was. My familie's love and prayers are with Mr Wilson's family and friends.

Dess and Family, I am deeply saddened to hear of Bud's passing. My Mom and Dad really enjoyed spending time with you and Bud at different car club activities. He was such a gentleman and will be greatly missed. I have yet to see anyone match his painting skills. God be with you.

To: John and Warren and your families, We all have a favorite uncle and Uncle Bud was mine. He was one of those people who make a difference in my life. His character and principles, his practical expression of love for Jesus Christ were wonderful examples for a boy growing up. I have many special memories of him. Sorry to not be there at this time, but we are with you all in spirit. "The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." Prov. 4:18 With all our love Fred and Nancy England

Dear Warren, Barbara, John, Susan and family, For a person who may not have known your father in life and then reading his obituary, that person would realize that he or she missed an opportunity to meet and know a special person. And for those of us who did know him, we know first hand how special and graceful he was. Truly, individuals like your father don't come by often enough in life. Your father will be remembered fondly and missed extremely much by all of us who knew, respected and loved him. Our sympathies are with you and all his family. Sadly, we will be away and apologize for not being able to attend the funeral. We are thankful for the special moments and conversation we had with him recently at Warren's birthday celebration. Our love, Dominick and Cindy
