Obituary For Lillie E. Myers

Lillie E. Myers, 89, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday February 21, 2007 at Trinity West. She was born January 31, 1918 in Fernwood, OH a daughter of the late Harry F. and Etta M. Ward Watt. She was a member of Wintersville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Esther-Naomi Circle. Lillie was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother for most of her adult life and enjoyed family gatherings. Lillie, before getting married, worked at the old Butte Laundry and for ten years as a waitress at the former Hub Tea Room. Preceding her in death were her husband James F. Myers on March 27, 1988, whom she married in June of 1957; four sisters Irene Miles, Ruth Foster, Nettie Ferguson and Bessie Moran; step daughter Joann Grimm; son-in-law Richard Hawkins; grandson James Willis; and great grandson Michael Richard Eickleberry. Surviving are her son Rev. Wayne Thomas (Helen) Snyder of West Carrollton, OH; two daughters Catherine M. (Gary) Hawkins-Farnsworth of Dennison, OH and Rebecca Goleno of Wintersville, OH; three step children Sue Ellen (James) Clark of Steubenville, OH, James A. (Joann) Myers of Wellsburg, WV and M. Frances (James) Metz of Westernport, MD; sister Sarah J. Wood of Wintersville, OH; brother-in-law Kenneth Ferguson of Richmond, OH; eight grandchildren Cathy A. (Michael) Eickleberry, Rebecca S. (David) Chancey, Patricia K. (Kenneth) Cline, Sarah R. (Larry) Orr, Carolyn M. (Larry Dean) Johnson, Tara Dawn Snyder, Craig A. Goleno and Brian J. Goleno; seven step grandchildren Amy, Mark and Julie Willis, Jeffrey and Wesley Metz, James William Myers and Penney Rada; twelve great grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and devoted neighbor George Mowry. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Wintersville United Methodist Church Building Fund, 702 Main Street, Wintersville, OH 43953.
