Leona Irene Potenzini 78 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Lancia Villa Royale. She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on December 21, 1924 a daughter of the late Lee and Ida Martin Wells. She was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church and Ladies Guild. Former member of Mingo Junction American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Leona was preceded in death by her first husband, John Radvansky Sr. and two sisters, Eva Myers and Hazel Olexa. Leona is survived by her husband Fred Potenzini; two sons John Jr. and James Radvansky and daughter Cathy Risdon all of Mingo Junction; one brother Harry (Melody) Wells of Mingo Junction ; two sisters , Mary Hardy and her husband Tony of Mingo Junction and Wilma Canturbury and her husband Bill of Adena, Ohio; and two grandsons, Jerry Risdon of North Carolina and John Risdon of Mingo Junction. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Mingo Junction. Blessing service Wednesday 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Father Andrew Chura to officiate. Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Prayer Service Tuesday 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to be directed to St. John Byzantine Ladies Guild.
