Lenamae Payne, age 98, of Wintersville, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Life Line Hospital in Wintersville, Ohio. She was born December 26, 1913 in Sharpsville, PA, the daughter of the late William J. and Elizabeth Brooks Saunders. Preceded in death by her husband Earl I. Payne; sister and brother-in-law Eileen and Lou Sommers; and nephew Lou Sommers.Lenamae retired from JC Penney Co. in Ferndale, MI, where she also was a member of O. E. S. Chapter #460; and a member of Brentwood U. M. Church, Wintersville.She is survived by five nieces, Beth Ann McBroom of FL, Sandy Reducha of Bloomingdale, Janie Icus, Cindy DiSerio and Carol Viltro, all of Wintersville; three nephews Jim Sommers of Wintersville, Dan Sommers of Fl, and Lawrence “Skeeter” Sommers of Wintersville.Services and Burial will be private, per Lenamae request.Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville.
