Lee V. Grafton, Sr. 68 of Steubenville died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on March 4, 1936 a son of the late Lee D. and Lenore Bjork Grafton. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Steubenville, where he was past trustee and Sunday School Superintendent, past treasurer of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville, past president of Jefferson County Farm Bureau, current president of Jefferson Landmark Board of Directors. Lee was retired from Citizens Bank, Martins Ferry, OH where he was vice president. He was a farmer all his life and was born in the house he lived in until his death. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Preceded in death by his son-in-law Mark Sargeant. Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen Staley Grafton, daughter Ellen Ruth (Patrick Dale) Swickard of Knoxville, OH, son Lee V. (Peggy) Grafton, Jr. of Steubenville, daughters Emilee Hope (Cliff) Wood of Bloomingdale, OH and Joy Lynne Sargeant of Wintersville, sister Wilda (Ray) Welch of Upland, IN, brother Gordon Grafton of Steubenville, grandsons Lee V. Grafton III, James D. Wood and Troy Sargeant. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Tuesday from 7-9p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Friends may also call on Thursday from 10a.m. until time of service at 11a.m. at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville with Rev.
