Lee C. McBurney, 74, of Steubenville died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Steubenville on January 30, 1940 the son of the late Donal and Lanelle Conner McBurney. Lee retired from Weirton Steel as a carpenter and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and it’s Men’s Group. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Deborah May. Lee is survived by his wife Nancy Carrocci McBurney; son Dean A. (Shannon) McBurney of New Albany, OH; daughter Jennifer (Gradie) Crowley of Blacklick, OH; grandchildren Sophia, Shea and Gradie. Friends may call at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 9a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the church or Valley Hospice.
