Lawrence Daniel Beckett, 66, of Mingo Junction, Ohio went home to be with his Lord whom he loved and served, on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at his home. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on May 5, 1938, son of the late William B. Beckett and Ida M. Zook Beckett. He was retired from Satralloy Corp. and a member of the Christians Gathered Unto the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ at Steubenville Gospel Hall. He served in US Army National Guard. Surviving are his children Lawrence D. Beckett, Jr., Michael G. Beckett, Julie A. Turner, Annette L. Boutin, Amanda L. Beckett, Samuel T. Beckett, Charles W. Murphy and Robert E. Murphy; brother Bentson (Pat) Beckett; sisters Laura (James) Snider, Florence Taylor, Gloria (Bob) Keller, Diana (Tom) Pahides and Kay (Daryl) Kinker; 26 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and dear aged friends Audrey Fuller and Bill Peckins. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday with Bob Keller and Jim Snider officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
