I have thought of Larry often in my days as a school psychologist. I have no doubt that my acquaintance with him encouraged me to follow a career involving students with special needs. I do know that my mom, Bette Ruff, dearly loved Larry. God bless all of you as you say good-bye to him. I am also sorry to read of your other siblings that are no longer with you. Trusting you to Jesus care. June Leasure Mansfield, Ohio

Words cannot begin to describe how heartbroken I am. Although I know my Uncle Larry is in a better place, I just can't imagine my life without him in it. He was the most loving and sweetest person you could ever meet. I have so many fond memories of him and was fortunate to have been able to spend a lot of quality time with him throughout the years. We are blessed that he was a part of our lives. We miss you so much already Uncle Larry. I hope you know how much you are loved. Thank you for bringing so much joy, love and happiness into our lives. We love you very much!! Love, Lisa, Raleigh, BJ, & Colt xoxo

Larry's family was like an extension of my own family. I spent many happy days and nights at Aunt Jean and Uncle Pete's home, especially in my youth. All of us who stayed there were welcomed into their home as if we were another member of their immediate family. Whether we were playing a "championship" game of baseball, football, or basketball in that small back driveway, Larry was always a part of whatever was going on. When we all loaded into Bob's car to go somewhere, Larry (aka Otis) would climb right in with us, and off we'd go. I was fortunate to visit with Larry when he was staying with the Shays in Florida, and we had a great reunion. Larry was a special cousin to me and will be missed.
