Laurence F. “Fritz” Andresen, Sr., 87, of Steubenville died Sunday October 12, 2008 at Trinity West ER. He was born May 16, 1921 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Laurence and Barbara McDonaugh Andresen. Fritz was a WW II Navy veteran and retired as a weigh master from Conrail Railroad after 45 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter Church and an avid bowler. Preceding Fritz in death was a brother James Andresen. Surviving are his loving wife Regina V. Hayman Andresen, with whom he has shared 73 wonderful years; son Laurence F. “Butch” (Sue) Andresen, Jr., of Andover, OH; daughter Regina B. (Bob) Coppa of Wintersville, OH; brother Joseph R. “Ray” (Alice) Andresen of Steubenville, OH; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. with Fr. Charles Mascolino officiating. Burial at. Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
