Laura Martha Mackey 86, formerly of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, July 26, 2003 in Bluffton, OH. She was born in Jefferson County on March 9, 1917 a daughter of the late William Edgar and Sara Jane Sutton Speedy. She was a member of Wintersville United Methodist Church, Wintersville Women’s Club and Kindlers Circle of the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Bergholz High School in 1934. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister Wilma Jane Barnhouse and Lela McConnell, both of Wintersville. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John Kelsey Mackey, whom she married on June 17, 1945, her loving children son John William Mackey and his wife Julie of Harrod, OH, daughter Sally Begin and her husband Lee of Columbus, OH, her five adoring grandchildren Laura (Greg) Hartzler, Amy Mackey, John Benjamin Mackey and Kelsey Lee Begin, sisters Lena Hill of Richmond and Columbus, OH and Mrs. Albert (Charlotte) Smith of Kent, OH, sister-in-law Birdie Grubb of Brilliant, OH and many dear nieces and nephews.
