Obituary For Larry F. Pownall, Sr.

Larry F. Pownall, Sr. 82, of Steubenville, OH passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Lancia Villa Royale. He was born in Steubenville, OH on December 27, 1937 a son of the late Frank and Catherine Moran Pownall. Larry was the owner of Pownall Contracting, where he was a master plumber. He was a member of Local 495, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Cambridge, OH and Pilgrim Lodge 691 F&AM. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn S. “Midge” Vojvodich Pownall in 2012; daughter Leigh Ann Pownall; brothers Pat and George Pownall. Larry is survived by his son Larry Pownall, Jr. of Wintersville; daughter-in-law Jody Pownall; brother Lee (Leiann) Pownall of Wintersville; granddaughter Katlin Pownall (Eric) Hughes of Wintersville and great grandson Kai Hughes. Service were private and held at Union Cemetery.

    Sorry to hear about the passing of Larry.  We did business with each other for over 35 years.  We always worked well together.  I considered Larry a friend that could be depended upon.
