L. Maxine Phillips, 93, of Steubenville passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Lancia Villa Royale. She was born June 15, 1922 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Harry & Olive Doss Ward. Preceding Maxine in death were her husband George Phillips; daughter Phyllis Stovall; two sons Terry & Eugene Phillips and sister Edna Lee McGrew. Surviving are her daughter Mary Bee; two sons Larry (Naomi) and Jim Phillips; thirteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home, Steubenville on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
