L. Gary Millhorn, 64, of Wintersville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2006 surrounded by his loved ones. Gary was born June 3, 1941 in Bloomingdale, Ohio the son of the late Lloyd and Leona McMullen Millhorn. He was a retired pipe fitter/welder with Local 490 Plumbers & Pipefitters, Steubenville, Ohio. Gary also attended Muskingum College and Carnegie Mellon University. He was a member of Brentwood U.M. Church and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a Seabee with Battalion 53. Gary’s Masonic affiliations include Unionport Masonic Lodge 333 F&AM, Martins Ferry Chapter #173 Royal Arch Masons, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, Aladdin Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. of Columbus, Ohio and Steubenville Shrine. Preceding Gary in death was his father-in-law Rev. John J. Bolyard. Survivors include his wife Mona Bolyard Millhorn whom he married October 1, 1966; mother-in-law and father-in-law Joan & Bernard Carl; daughter Suzy (Scott) Goddard of Newark, Ohio; son Gary (Melissa) Millhorn; grandchildren Tyler Faris and Kenzie Goddard both of Newark; Cassie & Michael Millhorn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Butch & Dona Rairigh; sister Shirley (Paul) Simone of New Middletown, OH; nephews Rusty (Courtney) Rairigh and Matthew (Kimi) Rairigh, Paul & Frank Simone of New Middletown, OH, David (Cara) Simone of Branson, MO; niece Christine Simone; and great nieces and nephews Matthew & Malaynee Rairigh, Mason Rairigh, Frankie Simone and Lauren Simone. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. On Friday, friends may call at Brentwood U.M. Church from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH. Masonic services 7 p.m. Thursday Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military services at the church. Memorials may be directed to Brentwood U.M. Church
