Kathryn C. Lackey 80 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2003 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. She was born August 31, 1922 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Lloyd and Pearl Jones Copeland. She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Montgomery and her second husband Vernon Lackey. Pete, as she was known to her friends and family, was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Vestry, past member of the E.C.W., board member of the Jefferson County Historical Museum, member of Steubenville White Shrine of the Masonic Order, and past member of Woman’s Club of Steubenville. After her husband died she successfully operated Lackey’s Auto Parts until it was sold. Pete also worked in the customer service department at Sears. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lynn and son-in-law Bob Henschel; three grandchildren Kathy (Tony) Culcasi, Krissy Henschel and Rob Henschel and two great grandchildren Curtis and Hannah. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Requiem High Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Church.
