Kathern J. “Katie” McClain Durbin Kaiserling, 83, of Wintersville, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Trinity West. She was born in Miletus, WV on September 14, 1934 a daughter of the late Oran D. and Edna Fern Skidmore McClain. Katie was a home health nurse and volunteered at the Jefferson County Museum and the Schiappa Library, where she started the Puzzle Exchange. She raised butterflies every summer. In addition to her parents Katie was preceded in death by her 1st husband Norman Durbin; 2nd husband Frederick Kaiserling; sons William and Donald Durbin; brothers Donald and Ernest McClain; sisters Edna Strachen and Carol Ann Bodley. She is survived by her son Joseph (Jane) Durbin of Springfield, OH; daughter Joyce (Joe) Molinaro of Steubenville, OH; brother Gary L. (Roberta) McClain of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister Betty Jo Gotshall of Steubenville; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday , November 25, 2017 from 1-3 and 5p.m. until time of services at 7p.m. with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating.
