It was an honor to know someone of the caliber of this man. Karl was a true insirpation in the Boy Scout movement. He will be sadly missed in the Ohio River Valley Council. Rest in Peace and may the Holy Spirit provide comfort to the family.

In addition to having known the Brandt family from the time I was a child growing up in Steubenville and Weirton, I had the honor and privilege of working with Karl for the past several years on the Executive Board of the Ohio River Valley Council of the Boy Scouts. Karl was the epitome of an exemplary leader -- always calm, helpful, and hard- working. He took his responsibility as a Board member seriously, and he provided guidance and thoughtful advice in times of stress. There are very few leaders with Karl's wisdom and patience. He will be greatly missed.

Jon and family: I was very sorry to hear about your dad. I always enjoyed chasing him out Sunset Blvd when he'd go home for lunch, taught me how to drive fast! He was a great guy and I had fun with him in Rotary, what a great example to follow. Godspeed, Rich
