Justus Edward “Judd” Parrish, Sr. 93, of Wintersville, OH passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Sienna Woods Nursing Center. He was born in Steubenville on October 24, 1920 son of the late Edward B. and Eliza Mildner Parrish. He was an engineer in the U.S. Army and served in WWII. Graduated from Wintersville High School class of 1936 and was a lifetime building contractor in the Wintersville and Steubenville area. He served on the school board at Wintersville High School. Judd enjoyed woodworking, gardening, cooking, hunting and fishing especially with his grandchildren. He was always a good father and enjoyed his children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but we will rejoice knowing that he is together with his other family members in paradise. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 7 sisters; Marie Stevens, Bertha Bush, Freida Jackson, Wilma Hannan, Clara Dennis, Luverne Unsold and Audrey Evans; daughter Pamela Parrish; great grandson Zachary Carter. Judd is survived by his wife of 68 years Esther Denlinger Parrish; daughter Patricia (Dennis) Clark of Diamond, OH; son Justus E. Parrish, Jr. of Northvale, NJ; sister Lois Blackburn of Sheffield, OH; 6 grandchildren Meghan Carter, Alana Wood, Steven Moodie, Heather Southworth, Desiree and Vanessa Parrish; 10 great grandchildren Kayla and Boady Wood, MaKenna and MaKenzie Carter, Noah, Jason, Abbigail and Benjamin Southworth and Brooke and Avery Martinson. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank Valley Hospice and Sienna Woods Nursing Center for their support and care of our loved one.
