June M. Sullivan, 82, of Wintersville passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Steubenville on October 18, 1932 the daughter of the late Adolf and Ferne McClaskey Shonek. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Steubenville and the Wintersville Women’s Club. She most enjoyed being with her family and friends. June had worked for the Herald Star and Sears Department Store in years past. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester L. Sullivan; her son Brian Sullivan he died on August 17, 2014 and an infant brother Robert. June is survived by her daughters Nanci Sullivan of Bridgeville, PA and Patricia (Doug) Gosney of Wintersville; grandsons Eric and Justin Gosney and Austin Pitts; great grandsons Jacob, Michael and Luke Gosney. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Monday from 1-4 and 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 12:30p.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
