Julius Schumaker, Jr., 87, of Wintersville, Ohio died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born March 24, 1919 in Mingo Junction, Ohio the son of the late Julius and Ida Gimpel Schumaker, Sr. He was a retired craneman from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and served in the Army during WWII. Preceding Julius in death were his wife Margaret Bornyak Schumaker and one sister Margaret E. Manuel. Julius is the Best Dad in the world and surviving are his two sons Robert J. (Melissa) Schumaker of Pittsburgh and Richard L. (Joyce) Schumaker of Wintersville; six grandchildren Robert, Scott, Daniel, Stacey, Lisa and Heather; and great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Friday 6-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at the cemetery chapel.
