Julia Maxine Hurand, 85, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Steubenville died Monday, December 22, 2008 in Kansas. She was born in Steubenville on March 1, 1923 a daughter of the late Gilbert and Bertha Gatchell McKinley. Maxine was a member of the former St. Pius X Catholic Church (now Triumph of the Cross), St. Francis Society, Y.W.C.A. and Telephone Pioneers of America. Preceding Maxine in death were her husband Peter W. Hurand; two brothers Wayne & Lloyd McKinley and sister Mary Anita Bickerstaff. Surviving are two daughters Paula (William) Rock of Olathe, KS and Patricia (Robert) Westcott of Ypsilanti, MI; four grandchildren Sara (Scott Stewart) Rock, Tricia Rock, Kai-lyn (John) Schroeder and Kyle Westcott; two great grandchildren J.T. and Carson Schroeder; nieces; nephews; and best freind & sister-in-law Clara Louise “Becky” Bianco. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008, 2p.m. at Triumph of the Cross (former Holy Rosary) Catholic Church with Fr.
