Joyce E. Clifton Farmer, 76, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Trinity West. She was born in Mingo Junction, OH on August 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Sanford and Leola B. Ryan Neuman. Joyce was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Mingo Junction, Mingo Women’s Club, Moose Lodge of Steubenville, Ladies Shrine, and LaBelle Chapter #414 O.E.S. She was a graduate of Mingo High School and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. Clifton and Donald E. Farmer; a daughter, Sandra Dee Appledorn; and her sister Charlene Neuman. Joyce is survived by her children, Donna A. Current and her husband Dr. James V. Current of Bloomingdale, OH, Charles “Chuck” Farmer of Memphis, TN, Charles S. Clifton and Laurie of Mingo, Carol Ann Haines and her husband David of Mingo, Patricia L. Farmer of Steubenville, Timothy L. Clifton of Mingo, Brandi E. Farmer of Mingo; sister, June Neuman, of Steubenville, OH; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave. on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and ½ hour prior to funeral services Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Mingo with Rev. Michael Bongart officiating. Burial will be at Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Steubenville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jefferson County Unit of the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1346, Steubenville, OH 43952, or the Teramana Center, 3204 Johnson Rd., Steubenville, OH, 43952.
