time and distance doesn't erase the many moments during my day when family doesn't cross my mind. tete jo was no exception, whether it be "tete josie's lasagna recipie",or because of her gift of Mother Goose nursury rhymes for my 1st born, we often listened to the cadence of 'Old King Cole' coming from a crib a 2am.(little did she know, these are some of the traditions i now pass on. thank you tete jo.) bless you,may peace be with you.

Aunt Jo was my first penpal. When I was in elementary school, we wrote letters back and forth and I loved it. In the summer of 1963 (I think) Mom and I took a bus to Bordentown, to visit. Can still remember the trip, and how cool it was to live within walking distance of an ice cream store! Over the years, I only saw her intermittently, but loved every minute we spent together. Also enjoyed hanging with my Jersey "guy cousins" on the farm in the summer, following them around and probably annoying the heck out of them. This past summer I was lucky enough to spend time with Aunt Jo and had a blast spending time with my original penpal. Also, I came to realize ... there's a lot of her in me. Sweet journey, my deal Teta...
