Joseph R. Rouse 74 of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born in Cross Creek Township, Ohio on May 9, 1928 a son of the late John F. and Jessie Lodge Rouse. He retired from WGH-PGH Steel Corp. B.O.F. after 30 years service. Joseph was preceded in death by one brother Robert H. Rouse. Surviving are his wife Dolores A. Testa Rouse; three sons Joseph “Rusty” Rouse of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Craig (wife Sandy) Rouse of Mesa, AZ and David Russell Schaefer of Germany; two daughters Karen (husband Laurie) Kelly of Atlanta, GA and Judith A. Rouse of Wintersville; two grandsons Bryan Kelly of Chattanooga, TN and Jesse Rouse of Wintersville; five brothers William, Donald, George and Ronald “Beano” Rouse all of Mingo Junction and Charles “Scotty” Rouse of Illinois; and three sisters Harriet “Pooch” Stacy and Lois “Jeannie” Smith of Mingo Junction and Mary Ann Light of Florida. Private services were held at the request of the family at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
