Please accept my deepest condolence for the loss of Mr. Joseph Cook to allhis family and friends. My heart is sadden by his departure. I first met Joe in 1999 when I arrived to the Pentagon to work for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and we became steadfast friends until his passing. Humbly, there are no words that can describe hisdevotion for caring for others. He was the epitome of the love and sacrifice that Jesus Christ wants us all to be. I trust in God one day we will meet again, Joe. RIP my beloved friend. You left a deep hole in our hearts.

So sorry to hear about this. I was fortunate enough to get to work with Joe here at the Pentagon, and when he came back to visit after retiring it was great to see how happy and healthy he looked. Joe was a tireless worker, fiercely loyal, and a friendly and reassuring presence. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in Peace, Joe.

Joe was my dear friend and neighbor for 22 years and I miss him tremendously. He usually had a good story to tell and we both enjoyed going to the country to pick peaches, apples and strawberries and making the drive away from the city. I will always honor Joe's sense of duty to his country and integrity by placing other people before his own well being. Joe was one of the few that as a civilian working at the Pentagon fought for the freedom we all take for granted. I thank him for his service and his friendship and took my opportunity to tell him this before his untimely death. I pray he is at peace.
