I'm Allen's Uncle, Mel's husband. I had the opportunity to meet Joe last summer at a Father's Day picnic. He had a unique humor and kept me laughing. He said he didn't like green beans the way I cooked them but after a couple of servings they were OK... I know his family loved him dearly and will miss him greatly. He will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May his after life be full of Blessings.

Dear Vi and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. My thoughts have been with you since Rosie's passing and continue to be with you now. For all these years Joe has been an outstanding person in Bloomingdale and I'm surprised he didn't use the name Joe "Bloomingdale" Miller. When I think of Bloomingdale I think of you two, always in the forefront of town activities and celebrations. His life of contributions to everyone in Bloomingdale will be missed and not forgotten.

Vi and Family. I am so sorry to hear about Joe. He was a great man and a dear friend. I would always try to see you and him when I was back in town. I still remember all those hours you and him let us boys hang out at the store playing pool and pinball back in the late 60's early 70's. He will surely be missed.. The Town of Bloomingdale has definitely lost one of its great citizens. Delbert Dalton
