Joseph L. Glaub, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 16, 1920, the son of the late Joseph C. and Anna M. Kessler Glaub. Joe was the executive officer of Atlas Supply, Atlas Gas and Sal Chemical Co. His civic memberships included serving as chairman of the board of the former Ohio Valley Hospital for three terms; Indian Creek School Board; board of directors of Fort Steuben Bancorp and First National Bank & Trust of Steubenville; Executive Board of Boy Scouts of America; Board of Advisors of the College of Steubenville; Steubenville Country Club Board; Board of Blue Cross of Southwest Ohio and Steubenville Elks Lodge. Joe was a member and elder of Starkdale Presbyterian Church in Steubenville. Preceding Joe in death was his wife Sara “Sally” Sawtelle Glaub, whom he married on June 29, 1946 and she died on November 18, 2003. Surviving are his son Joseph C. “Jody” (wife Carolyn) Glaub of Weirton; daughters Janice Rainbolt and Susan (husband Donald) Williams of McLean, VA; sister Mary Schaefer of Steubenville; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
