Joseph J. Vargecko, 82, of Wintersville, OH, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home.  He was born June 4, 1929 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Joseph G. and Anna Sohovich Vargecko. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a general foreman.  Preceding Joseph in death were his wife Grace E. Mildner Vargecko on November 10, 1969; son David J. Vargecko; brother Paul Vargecko and an infant sister Helen Vargecko.  Surviving are his sister Mary Ann McGlone of Wintersville, OH; three nephews John (Linda) McGlone of Wintersville, OH, Mark (Joan) McGlone of Richmond, OH and Mike (Robin) McGlone of Bloomingdale, OH and niece Linda (Gene) Nichols of Wintersville, OH.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
