Joseph J. “Butch” Krager, Jr., 70, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 surrounded by family at his residence.
He was born in Steubenville on November 10, 1950, the son of the late Joseph J. Krager, Sr. & the late Ruth Berger Krager.
Butch retired from the City of Steubenville; graduated from CCHS (1968) and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Butch is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila A. Sanders Krager; two sons Michael Krager & Brian (Leighann) Krager; four grandchildren Anthony, Rylee, Layla & Olivia; sister Becky Bakitas; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Kathy Sanders; goddaughter Patty and nephew Nicky.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 5-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Masks are absolutely required and friends are asked not to linger after paying their respects.
The funeral mass will be live-streamed 11 a.m. Saturday at holyfamilysteubenville.com
