Joseph Conforti 98 of Steubenville, Ohio died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Trinity West. He was born in Belmonte Calabro, Prov. Consenza, Italy on December 4, 1905 a son of the late Salvatore and Rosa Pulice Conforti. Joe was a Steubenville businessman having owned and operated Conforti Meat Market, Conforti Lumber and Demolition Company and was the developer of the former Hollywood Lanes. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Preceding Joe in death were his wife Domenica Suriano Conforti; son Frank J. Conforti; two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are daughters Rose Bonazza of Fairmont, WV and Della (husband Jerry) McFadden of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter-in-law Mary Jo Conforti of Steubenville; seven grandchildren Joseph F. Conforti, Annette Bertoia, Joseph Bonazza, Thomas Bonazza, Michael McFadden, Daniel McFadden and Melissa Petrone; 15 great grandchildren and brother Gugliemo Conforti of New York. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Timothy McGuire officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Sunday
