John Zakarian, 59, of Steubenville passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008.  He was born October 8, 1948 in Watertown, MA to the late George and Rose Anderson Zakarian.  He lived with Charles and Pamela Griffith who lived in Wintersville and now reside in Houlton, ME.  John was the type of person who had a big heart. He worked for Barnum and Bailey Circus as an elephant attendant.  John is survived by his adopted family Charles and Pamela Griffith; niece Terri Haney; nephew Aaron Griffith; step-brother Bob Coker and many friends.  Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, 11a.m. at The House of Faith Church, 1913 Estelle Ave., Steubenville with Pastor Elsie Grant officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to: The Salvation Army or Urban Mission.
