John William “Jackie” Martinez, 56, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on October 20, 1948 to the late Jose A. and Edna Jester Martinez, Sr. Jackie attended Jeff Co Training Center and was preceded in death by one brother Ray Benzo. Survivng are his brother Jose A. (Joan) Martinez, Jr. and sisters Karen S. (companion Ed Pethtel) Martinez all of Wintersville; and Peggy Welch of Bloomingdale; niece Leiann (Mike) McCort of Pataskala, Ohio; nephew Stanley (Karey) Albaugh of Texas; several great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Tuesday 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
