John Wesley “JJ” Jackson III, 58, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Friday, March 3, 2006 at Palliative Care. He was born May 13, 1947 in Steubenville. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. where he worked as head hooker in the 80 inch mill. He was a member of Polish National Alliance, Steubenville Rifle & Pistol Club, N.R.A., American Legion Argonne Post 33, and Mingo Senior Citizens. He served in the Army during the VietNam War. Preceding J.J. in death were his father John W. Jackson, Jr.; maternal grandparents Chris & Cora Willis and uncle Arthur Willis. Surviving are his mother Helen L. Willis Jackson of the residence; twin brother Arthur L. Jackson of Mingo; brother James A. Jackson of Steubenville; and two sisters Barbara A. (Mark) Porter of Steubenville and Janet M. (James) Porter of Brilliant, Ohio Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., where services will be held at noon Tuesday with Rev. John Ater officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Argonne Post 33 will conduct services at the cemetery.
