John W. Livingston, Sr. 49 of Coolville, Ohio, formerly of Steubenville, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004 of natural causes. He was born in Steubenville on December 13, 1954 a son of the late Geoge W. Livingston and the late Eileen M. Livingston. Until his retirement in 1983, John was employed by City of Steubenville Police Dept. He was involved with Steubenville Little League Association and a member of Moose Lodge 619 and F.O.P. Lodge 1. John was an avid horse enthusiast. He was preceded in death by a grandson Brock L. Livingston on October 5, 2001; two brothers and his wife’s parents Vernon and Mary Alice Miller. John is survived by his wife of 30 years Sylvia Miller Livingston; two sons John (April) Livingston, Jr. of Coolville and Staff Sgt. Brian (Maria) Livingston of Lakenheath A.F.B., England; two brothers Gene (Nit) Livingston of Martinsburg, WV and William Hanifin of Steubenville; two sisters Mary Jane (George) Lindsay and Helen (Jim) Bouchet of Steubenville; four grandchildren Jason, Harmony, John III “Trey” and Amanda Livingston; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Friends are invited to attend memorial services at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday, June 7, at 12:30 p.m. with Police Chaplain Shawn Scott officiating.
