John Vudrogovic “Sonny Boy” 91 of Mingo Junction, OH died Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on September 29, 1910 the son of the late Bozo and Petra Vuckovich Vudrogovic. He was a former member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, Steubenville, OH, and attended First United Presbyterian Church, Mingo Junction, OH, and was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as a tech sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII. Retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, where he was an engineer on the Railroad. Proceeded in death by wife: Dorothy Louise Shores Vudrogovic, brothers: George, Robert, Sam, Dan, Eli, Pete, and Fred Vudrogovic. Survived by daughter: Katherine Epperly and her husband Michael of Pittsburgh, PA, brother: Theodore “Ted” Wood of Mingo Junction, OH, sister: Mildred Mihnak of Mingo Junction, OH, grandchildren: Rachel, Lourna, and Joe Epperly. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. Friends may also call on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. at First United Presbyterian Church, Mingo Junction with Rev. Michael Bongart officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction, OH.
