Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you girls and your families. We prayed for the whole time that he was o.k. So sorry for your loss. John and Helen camped next to us one summer at Lake Austin. And I saw him all the time at Big Bear. We would see him at Walmart and always visited with him. He was such a kind, soft spoken man and we will miss seeing him. He was a special man to so many peopls.

My prayers to all the Mathes family. I grew up knowing John because my father, Herbert Lees, worked with John when he first worked at Coca Cola. Both of our families were very close in the early years. Your Mom and Dad were the best people always making us laugh and opening their home to us for parties. We loved coming to their house when we were children. I have so many fond memories of John and Helen. I was very fortunate to know both of then because they gave so much to our family.
