John “Yuma” Sarlo, 52, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born July 4, 1960 in Steubenville, Ohio. John was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Ann Sarlo and aunt Dorothy “Dolly” (Edmond) Stachyra. Upon the passing of his mother he was adopted by his late grandmother Theresa C. Sarlo who helped his late aunt Irene Trepanoski raise him. Surviving are his wife Tammy S. Sarlo; beloved son Evan Radcliffe of Steubenville, OH; aunt Patricia Blackburn; uncle Tommy Blackburn; niece Crystal Walenciej; three nephews Joe and Chuck Walenciej and Daniel Wright, Jr. and cousins Brian Stachyra, Jackie, Russell and Terri Blackburn and many other cousins. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home), 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville on Tuesday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Fr. Timothy Huffman officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary.
