John M. Michalos II, 56, of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, August 26, 2005 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Weirton, WV on March 3, 1949. John was an employee of Mittal Steel U.S.A. Weirton and Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death by his father John M. Michalos I. John is survived by his wife Patricia M. VanHorne Michalos; children John (Theresa) Michalos III of Troy, Ohio, Kristine ( William) Porter and Jason (Melanie) Michalos both of Wintersville; stepson Daniel Hall of Wintersville; mother Viola Mateusiak Michalos of Weirton; sister Marlene (James “Tiny”) Castellano of Wintersville and seven grandchildren Anthony Morgan; Audree, Hannah & Corinne Porter; Karmen Hall; Peyton Michalos and John M. Michalos IV. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Private burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service 7:45 p.m. Monday. Because of his compassion for life and love for others, John was an organ and tissue donor.
