John Jenkins 86 of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, January 17, 2002 at Villa Angela, Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 30, 1915 a son of the late William and Mary Davies Jenkins. He was a member of Wintersville U.M. Church; Steubenville Masonic Lodge 45 F&AM; and Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville. John retired from Weirton Steel Co. Tin Mill and was an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceeded in death by one daughter Janell Jenkins; one granddaughter Lori Sue Jenkins; three brothers David, William and George Jenkins; and two sisters Margaret Aird and Hannah Barr. John is survived by his wife Florence Rickabaugh Jenkins; one son John R. (Dorothy) Jenkins of Wintersville; one daughter Beth (John) Knouff of Grove City, Ohio; four grandchildren and two great grandsons. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Saturday from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio
