John J. Marsh, 58, of Richmond, Ohio passed away Friday evening, February 2, 2007 at Trinity West surrounded by his family. He was born January 6, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. John was drafted by the US Army at the age of 19 and served in Vietnam where he received a purple heart. When he returned from the war he married, had three children and lived a life that was devoted to his family. As he raised his family John was a devoted elder at the LaBelle View Church of Christ. John worked as a letter carrier for the Steubenville Post Office. He was the kindest, most giving, caring and loving man and he will be so greatly missed by us all. God has a soldier and a great man in heaven to watch over us. Preceding John in death was his father John Marsh. He is survived by his mother Theresa Marsh; sister Patty Coldabella; brother Richard Marsh; two daughters Brett and Lainey Marsh; son Michael Marsh; two grandchildren Keller and Mia; and dog Ottie. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Minister Tom Arehart officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH where military honors will be provided.
