John G. “Gug” Schmidt 81 of Wintersville, OH formerly of Pittsburgh, PA died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Dixon Health Care Center, Wintersville, OH. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 12, 2004 the son of the late John A. and Mildred Graham Schmidt. He was the owner of the former Jawn Remodeling Company, Pittsburgh, PA for over twenty years. John was a WWII veteran of the US Navy, and a member of American Legion, Post 557, Wintersville, OH and was a member of the Pattern Makers Union.. Preceded in death by a sister Doris Irene Schmidt. He is survived by his wife Margaret Polosky Schmidt, sons John (Judy) Schmidt of Wintersville, OH and David Schmidt of Denver, CO, daughter Lynn (Bary) Sherman of Fallbrook, CA, grandchildren Dr. John Michael (Heather) Schmidt, Kathleen Marie Schmidt, Mindy Marie Schmidt and Loraine Marie (Eric) Schmidt.
