John C. Warnock, Sr. 83 of Wintersville, OH died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Trinity East, Steubenville. He was born in Fullerton, KY on May 16, 1920 the son of the late Basil “Ward” and Bertha Reis Warnock. He was a member of Finley United Methodist Church, he also was a founding member of the Steel Valley Antique Car Club and belonged to the Mended Hearts Organization. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he was a heater in the soaking pits, he also worked part time for Jefferson Security at the Schiappa Memorial Library, Steubenville. He was preceded in death by his wife Corleah Blanchard Warnock, sister Eunice Murphy. He is survived by sons John C. “Jack” (Deedee) Warnock, Jr. of Amanda, OH and David W. (Renee) Warnock of Richmond, OH, sister Mary Margaret (Jim) Parks of Steubenville, grandchildren Vanessa, Seth, Ryan and Jaime Warnock. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH. Friends may also call on Thursday from 10:30a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. at Finley United Methodist Church, Steubenville with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
